
Before beginning installation, be sure that the lamp is not plugged in.
Step 1: Feed the cord about 8 inches toward the center hole at the bottom of the wooden base as shown in figure 1.
Step 2: Push the cord up into the center hole to allow enough slack for the socket/vase-cap to be removed.
Step 3: Unscrew the two screws that secure the vase cap to the leg as shown in figure 3.
Step 4: Pull the socket/vase-cap out of the top of the leg to expose the interior socket as shown in figure 4.
Install a replacement light bulb (never exceed the recommended wattage to prevent fire or damage to the lamp - 5 watt for 26 inch lamp and 15 watt for 42 inch lamp). Reinstall the socket/vase cap with thel screws. Pull the cord back down through the bottom of the wooden base until it is tight and then pull the cord back through the side of the wooden base until it is tight.
